Biography

Sylvain Viau has over 40 years of experience in information security, communication, physical, security systems, governance, architecture, auditing, investigations, and anti-bribery. He works as an independent senior advisor on information security, compliance and strategic security planning for world-class corporations.

Mr. Viau has several certifications, including ISACA International, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, ISO 22301, 28000, 37000 and ISO 27001 Master.

He retired from the Canadian Army in 2015 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as the senior communication advisor to National Director of Signals with over 37 years of experience in military communication.

Mr. Viau work with several standards like NIST, NERC, COBIT, ISF, PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISPF and ISO.
He also his own of its security firm since 1998 and founded in 2017 IIS (International Innovations & Services) and founder of the DSI Group (Division – Security International regrouping more than 16 Security corporation providing integrated security solutions).
